Jigawa State has rolled out one of Nigeria’s most comprehensive farm mechanization programmes, deploying 300 tractors, 60 combined harvesters, and digital booking infrastructure across 60 service centres statewide, as the state targets 3.6 million metric tonnes of rice annually by 2030.
Niger State has flagged off its 2026 farming season with 250 tractors, 50 combine harvesters and 150,000 bags of fertiliser distributed across all 25 LGAs. Governor Bago targets 500,000 metric tons of food and 120,000 hectares of cultivated land this season.
