OIP 1 in GEEP : FG's Zero-Interest Loan for Smallholder Farmers (Ongoing)

GEEP : FG’s Zero-Interest Loan for Smallholder Farmers (Ongoing)

Deadline: Ongoing

The Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) is a flagship financial inclusion initiative of the National Social Investment Programme Agency, designed to support micro and small-scale entrepreneurs across Nigeria.

The programme provides zero-interest, collateral-free loans to help economically active Nigerians expand their businesses, improve productivity, and build sustainable livelihoods.

GEEP focuses on reaching people who are often excluded from formal banking systems, including smallholder farmers, petty traders, artisans, and market women.

For smallholder farmers who do not qualify for commercial bank lending and cannot access the larger grant windows listed above, GEEP remains the most accessible formal financing route currently operational in Nigeria.

Zero interest and no collateral requirement address the two barriers that lock most smallholders out of the financial system entirely.

How to apply:

Applications are processed through the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).

Farmers should visit the nearest NSIPA office or check NSIP website for current registration windows in their state.
