The approval was announced in a letter signed by Ms. Fatima Kabir Umar, Director of Polytechnic and Allied Programmes.

Prof. M. A. Wailare, the Provost of the college, said the achievement is a “major boost to the college’s profile.” He thanked the Kano State Government, led by Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for funding the process and praised the staff for their hard work.

The accredited programs include courses in Agricultural Technology, Fisheries, and Food Technology, as well as new-age subjects like Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence.

This news is a significant development for the college and its students. Gaining full accreditation proves that the school offers a quality education that is officially recognized, which can help students find jobs or continue their studies elsewhere.

The college’s success in getting approval for both traditional agricultural courses and new technology-focused ones shows it is working to modernize and meet the needs of Nigeria’s changing economy. This makes the college more relevant and attractive to a new generation of students. The public acknowledgment of government funding also highlights how vital state support is for improving academic standards and infrastructure in educational institutions.
